Mr. Tommy Joe Willis, age 64 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Born Monday, July 10, 1950 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was retired from law enforcement having previously been employed with Northwestern State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, West Monroe Police Dept. and was an  investigator with Ouachita Parish Coroner’s Office and the 9th District Medical Examiners Office in Orlando, Florida. He was a member of the LA Peace Officers Association, LA Municipal Police Officers Association, Past Member and President, West Monroe Police Association, Past Vice-President  and member, West Monroe Police Relief Association, Member, First Baptist Church of Winnfield, Master Mason, J. C. Stewart Lodge # 460; Member, Winn Genealogical and Historical Association. Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his Parents, Welby and Louise Willis and a Brother, Jerry B. Willis.

Mrs. Marie Avery Thigpen

Mrs. Marie Avery Thigpen, age 92 of Princeton, Texas passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014. Born Saturday, July 08, 1922 in Chatham, Louisiana, she was  a long time member of Hebron Baptist Church and previously served as secretary-treasurer of the Hebron Cemetery fund for over 50 years. She enjoyed  spending time with her family and friends and loved crocheting, quilting, cooking and will be remembered for her famous angel food cakes.  Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her Parents, Joel Herbert and Orlean Doyal Avery; Husband, Crafton Thigpen; Siblings, Johnnie, Cecil, Herman, Ernest, Benton, Kenneth, Corinne, Maureen and Melba.

Mr. Bedgood, 72, was born Sunday, May 17, 1942 in Goldonna, Louisiana and passed  away Friday, July 25, 2014 in Goldonna. He was preceded in death by his parents M. D. and Cecile Gunter Bedgood,  Brothers, Claude and Lonnie Bedgood, Sr., Sisters, Helen Puglise, and Frances David.
