Mr. Charles Daniel Gibbs, 73, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at his home in Goldonna. Mr. Gibbs was a logger, an avid deer hunter and he was a member of Antioch Community Church. He is survived by his daughter, Melisa Gibbs Bowman and husband Phillip; grandson, Sterling Bowman; granddaughter, Amber Harvey; brothers, Donnie Gibbs, Gary Gibbs and

Rodney Gibbs; sister, Karen Duck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Gibbs; parents, Roland and Lola Martin Gibbs; daughter, Kellie Dean Post. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 12 noon at Antioch Community Church with Bro. Hayward Hossler and Bro. Bobby Bates officiating under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Jonesboro. Interment was in the church cemetery 

Mr. William Dewey Miller, Jr., age 86 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 09, 2014. Born Tuesday, February 28, 1928 in Olla, Louisiana, he was retired from Placid Oil Company and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his first wife, Joy Hicks Miller and his second wife, Mary Hicks Miller; Sons, Michael Miller and Randy Miller; Daughter, Suzanne Walton; Grandson, Christopher Miller. Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Lovida Fife of Jena; step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wright officiating. Interment followed in Garden of Memories, in Winnfield. Carolyn Sue Reece of Plano, Texas passed away September 30, 2014 at the age of 71. She was born November 2, 1942 to Morris Newton and Minnie Louise (DeLee) Abrams in Winnfield, Louisiana. Sue married Jerrel Rexford Reece, Jr. on January 25, 1963 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University and Louisiana State University. Sue loved reading, studying history, shopping and genealogy. Her passion was spending time with her family and LSU football.

Sue is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Jerrel Rexford Reece, Jr. of Plano, Texas; daughter, Suzon Schroeder

and husband, Larry of Allen, Texas; son, Derek Reece and wife, Amy of Arlington, Texas; grandson, Jeremy Schroeder; and  sisters, Marcia Cox, Doris Hay, and Candice Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family received friends during a visitation on Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

Mr. Jonathan Wayne Allen, 58, of Winnfield, LA passed away Monday, September 22, 2014, at his residence after a brief illness. Jonathan was a 1974 graduate of Winnfield Senior High School and attended Northwestern State University.
