Mr. Mark Wendell Webb

Mr. Mark Wendell Webb, age 50 of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. Born Friday, September 13, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff, LA where he participated in the Big Brother Program and was 1999 Big Brother of the Year. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his Father, Calvin Leroy Webb; Brother, David Webb; Sister, Patty Webb; Step-Sister, Lynette Boyette. Those left to cherish his memory include his Mother, Charlotte Cloud; Sister, Karen Webb; Step-Sister , Tammy Norman Keith; “Big Brother”, Josh Materne; Numerous Cousins and friends. Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 02, 2014 at Bethlehem Cemetery with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Mrs. Lovis L. McCarty, age 76 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, April 01, 2014. Born Tuesday, February 08, 1938 in Hope, Arkansas, she was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. McCarty was preceded in death by her Parents, Willard Stone & Stella Skains; Step- Father, Chuck Skains, Husband, Andrew Guy  McCarty, Jr.; Brothers, Lee Stone & Charles Stone; and Sister, Audrey Gregg. Those left to cherish her memory include her Sons, Timothy D. McCarty, Winnfield, LA, Andrew Byron McCarty, Roswell, GA and Rodney Guy McCarty, Joyce, LA; Sisters Phyllis Skains andWanda Finney; 3 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Brian H. (Bill) Franks died on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Ascension Oaks Nursing Home in Gonzales, Louisiana. He was born June 10, 1926 in Winnfield, Louisiana, and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge. He retired from South Central Bell as a District Manager in Lake Charles, and was also responsible for negotiating and implementing the initial 911 system for the Baton Rouge area in the 1960’s. Pollock under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mrs. Morse, 75, of Pollock, was born on March 28, 1938 in Gars Mill, La. and passed from this life on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Woods Haven Senior Citizens Home in Pollock. She was a homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Bill Morse of Pollock; sisters, Leta Mae Carson of Winnsboro and Myrtle Patin of Pollock; brother, Gene E. Thompson of Pollock.
