Gorsey Holden (93) born May 19, 1921 died July 10, 2014 in Winnfield, LA. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July

12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 303 Brown Street, Winnfield. Interment: Winnfield City Cemetery.

Funeral services were conducted for Brody Paul Johns, age 15, at 1:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Gyan and Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in

Union, Louisiana. A resident of Gonzales, Brody passed away at 8:02 pm on Monday, July 7, 2014 at his residence.

Jeffrey Bruce Holmes, age 53 of Dry Prong, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at home in Dry Prong, Louisiana. He mined and quarried rock in Louisiana and Arkansas for over twenty years. He enjoyed building models of houses out of popsicle sticks. He is preceded in death by his father, William Holmes. A Mass of Christian Burial for Cherrie Webster was celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Montgomery, LA with Father Blake Deshautelle officiating. Interment followed at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Montgomery, LA under the direction of Kramer of Colfax. Visitation was held on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Kramer of Colfax. Family Eulogies & Reflections was followed with a recitation of the Holy Rosary. Cherrie Webster, 82, of Ball, LA, passed from this life with her family and friends to the next, to be with our Heavenly Father on July 4, 2014.

Mr. Haddock Ewell Rutledge, Jr., age 73 of Vivian, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. Born Monday, November 04, 1940 in Alexandria, Louisiana, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners and Eastern Star. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force SAC Division. Mr. Rutledge was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish almost as much as he adored his faithful companion puppy, Sophie.
