The 2014 Miss Winn Parish Pageant was mistakenly printed in the fair catalog as being held at the Winnfield Kindergarten School. Winnfield Fire Department Captain Cassidy Martin raises a special flag on the morning of September 11, 2014. The flag contained the names of all the first-responders who lost their lives on that fateful morning in 2001. In addition, the Winnfield Lion’s Club placed American flags in front of several businesses and throughout Main Street, and the flagpoles at city square flew throughout the day as a somber reminder

Winnfield man killed in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge – Shortly before 7:30 am on Sept. 4, 2014, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on LA Hwy 73 (Jefferson Hwy.) at Floynell Dr. in East Baton Rouge Parish. The crash took the life of 62-year-old Robert M. Vines of Winnfield

School Board approves 201415 budget
