Cash, revolver stolen in Dodson Town Hall breakin; missing $1,512 reported on 2015 audit

The $1,512 in cash missing from the Village of Dodson 2015 financial audit was reportedly stolen from Dodson Town Hall in February, along with a .38 caliber revolver. On Feb. 17, 2015, the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call at 8:01 a.m. reporting a break-in at Dodson Town Hall. The transcript of the call read:

Auditor: Village of Dodson Missing $1,512 in Cash

The Village of Dodson appears to be missing approximately $1,512.24 in cash after the completion of its 2015 financial audit. The audit for the Winn Parish village found that village employees were not depositing cash to the bank daily, and money was stolen from village funds. The audit showed that the village appears to have violated the Louisiana Constitution’s general prohibition on donating public funds when it purchased $449 in funeral arrangements and flowers.

A driver being pursued by a Louisiana State Trooper

A driver being pursued by a Louisiana State Trooper ran a red light causing a collision with another vehicle on Tuesday. The Louisiana State Police handled the wreck at the scene assisted by a Winnfield Police Officer who witnissed the crash.

On Friday, October 30, 2015, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation/Alexandria Field Office (LSP AFO) arrested Ladarrius Street (B/M 32 yrs) for possession with the intent to distribute CDS I (controlled dangerous substance), possession of CDS II (controlled dangerous substance), possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (controlled dangerous substance), possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV (controlled dangerous substance), illegal use of CDS (controlled dangerous substance) in the presence of minors, and illegal carrying of weapons.
