Ms. Patricia Ann Lawson, age 68 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019.

Born Thursday, August 30, 1951 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Hayes and Mattie Armstrong Simpson; son, Chad Lawson; sister, Nancy Simpson.

Ms. Lawson was a member of The Family Church of Winnfield and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Vivan Lawson, Bobby Lawson and Crystal Ellis; grandchildren, Lance, Cody, Cody, Justine, Anna, Jalan, Madison, Payton, Canaan, Aiden, Chloe and Alex; one great-grandson; sisters, Cathey Simpson, Virgie Thompson and Laura Barton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Floyd Max Allen

Mr. Floyd Max Allen, age 81 of Atlanta, La passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at home with his children following a long illness.

Over the years he was employed at his Grandpa J P “Pete” Gresham’s pole yard, Olin Kraft, and retired with CCA. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed collecting and trading baseball and football cards. His favorite baseball teams were the Boston Red Sox and, Houston Astros and LSU tigers. His favorite football teams were the LSU tigers and the New Orleans Saints. He loved his family and friends, loved the Lord, and was a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church in Atlanta, LA.

Born August 10,1938, in Atlanta, LA, Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Henry Earl and Ruby Gresham Allen, brothers Joe Dee and John Dale Allen, sister Kirsten Allen and grandson Steven Dale Maxwell.

Sara “Beth” Elizabeth McDade Etheridge Stewart

Mrs. Sara “Beth” Elizabeth McDade Etheridge Stewart, age 91 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019.

Mrs. Stewart was a native of Winnfield and lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She served as Sunday school teacher, was active in WMU, helped organize Operation Christmas Child, and worked as church financial secretary. Mrs. Stewart was active in home demonstration club for many years.

Born Monday, July 9, 1928 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dosia Hall McDade and Hollie D. McDade, Sr.; second husband, Glenn E. Stewart; first husband, Bonner G. Etheridge, Sr.; and sons, Bonner G. Etheridge, Jr. and Kerry B. Etheridge; and brother, Hollie D. McDade, Jr.

James Leslie Pruitt

Mr. James Leslie Pruitt, age 75 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019. He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church.

Born Thursday, January 27, 1944 in Hamburg, Arkansas, he was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Mae Carter and Clarence Pruitt; daughter, Dana Pruitt Gates; 4 brothers; and 5 Sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Pauline Pruitt; daughters, Leanie Holland (Ronald) and Angie Curry (Nathan); son, Paul Pruitt (Jill); 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family received friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Christian Fellowship Church, from noon until time of services.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Huey White and Rev. Kenneth Stanfill officiating. Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Ms. Maygon Marie Edmonds, age 26 of Joyce, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019.

Born Thursday, August 26, 1993 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her biological mother, Lisa Edmonds; biological father, Randy LeJune; and adopted mother, Bessie Leona Riggs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Trae and Haven Edmonds; siblings, James Lee Edmonds, Michael Edmonds, J.J. LeJune, Mickal Riggs, Clay Riggs, Antonio Whisenant and Sharee Halphen; and adopted father, Rufus Mack Riggs,

The family receivee friends on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Southern Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Keyes officiating. Interment followed in Zion Cemetary, near Georgetown.

Kelsey D. Bagwell of Mooringsport, Louisiana, transitioned into the next on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, following a period of illness. Kelsey was the son of Roy C. Bagwell and the late Barbara Leudtke. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Jeanie Spears Bagwell, his brother, Kevin Bagwell of Memphis, TN, and two beloved dogs, Travis and Lady.

Kurt Damien Guidry

Kurt Damien Guidry entered eternal rest on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 25 years old. He was born on April 7, 1994 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Kurt attended Montgomery High School for most of his high school career and then enrolled himself into the Youth Challenge Program where he graduated as a five star cadet. Kurt took extreme pride in his job as a boilermaker; he truly loved what he did. Kurt was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. When Kurt wasn’t at work he was spending time with his family and friends; he was a devoted father - that lived for his children, an avid fisherman, a master griller, and champion selfie-taker.

Kurt was preceded in death by his aunt Christal Reeves and maternal step-grandmother Arlien Owens.

Eselle Donald Parker Jr.

Mr. Parker is the son of the late Eselle Donald Parker Sr. and the late Willie Orelle Rolen Parker. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Donna Kaye Parker, sister Kathy Parker Long, and brothers Marcus and Larson Parker. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Charlotte Shepard Parker, children Julie Parker Hanson (Curt) and Thomas Lane Parker (Donna), grandchildren Megan O’Neal (Nick), Ashley Parker, Andrew Parker, Elizabeth Parker, Whitney Bass, Jacob Parker, Logan Bass, Emma Bass, Seth Shirley (Brittany), Adam Shirley, Madisyn Hubbard, Victoria Hubbard, Caleb Hanson, and Madison Hanson as well as one great grandson Brantley Case Ingles. Mr. Parker is also survived by his brothers Troyce Parker and Robin Parker.

Memorial Services for “Jr.” were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield. Friends visited with the family in the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.

Glenda Faye King Griffin

Mrs. Glenda Faye King Griffin, age 74 of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019, at her residence. She was born in LaSalle Parish on January 14, 1945 to H.H. and Lessie Cotton King.

Though she had moved to Monroe, she remained a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Jordan Hill, where she loved her church family. She and her late husband, Charlie Griffin, lived in Winn Parish for the entirety of their marriage where they operated several businesses. She enjoyed reading, sewing and spoiling her dog, Stormi.

Mrs. Griffin is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and J.W. Arnold and her husband, Charlie Griffin.

Christopher Gerald Vines

Mr. Christopher Gerald Vines, age 38 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019.

Born Monday, December 1, 1980 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, A. C. Hinds and Carlene Weeks Williams, Great Grandparents, M. C. and Thelma Mann and Dennis and Bertha Weeks.

Mr. Vines was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, having completed three tours in Afghanistan. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with his sons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Christopher Vines, Jr., Dylan Vines, Zachary Vines and Xavier Vines; mother, Sharon Foster (Dale); father, Victor Vines (Jennifer); siblings, Joseph Vines, Cassie Parker, Shauni Lytle, David Vines and Alyssa Vines; paternal grandparents, Claude and Mitzi Vines, aunts, Rebecca Vines and Lisa Iness; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
