Jeffrey Bruce Holmes, age 53 of Dry Prong, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at home in Dry Prong, Louisiana. He mined and quarried rock in Louisiana and Arkansas for over twenty years. He enjoyed building models of houses out of popsicle sticks. He is preceded in death by his father, William Holmes. He is survived by his wife Jetta
Holmes of Dry Prong; mother Katherine Holmes; four brothers, Vincent Holmes of Winnfield, Steve Holmes of Texas, Perry Holmes of Winnfield, Phillip Holmes of Virginia; one sister, Kathy Tarrell of Winfield one son, Jeremy Dewaine Cook of Winnfield; one daughter Polly Lenardo of Dry Prong; and four grandchildren: Hunter Cook, Peggy Cook, Joe Lenardo and Jake Lenardo. A memorial service was held Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Faith Life Church in Bentley, LA. The moment that you died, my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you. I often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep, and take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon my cheeks. Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday, but missing you is heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain. Until the joyous day arrives, that we will meet again
