Parents of Winn Parish students utilize the food service program.

The Winn Parish School Board arranged to provide takeout breakfast and lunch to all Winn Parish children under the age of 18. On Monday, March 23, parents were able to drive to one of three designated sites to pick up a bagged breakfast and lunch between 9:30-11:00 a.m. Paper resources for parents and students were also available at the school sites.

Coronavirus: What You Need to Know

Americans are being encouraged to prepare for any potential impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19). To educate the public about how to respond, the Louisiana Department of Health released prevention strategies specifically tailored to long-term care facilities, higher education institutions, businesses and employers, K-12 schools, childcare programs, healthcare facilities, law enforcement, and emergency responders. According to the LDH, there is one presumptive positive case of COVID-19 in Louisiana as of March 9. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Louisiana Office of Public Health continue to closely monitor this outbreak.
