Madison Nelson Celebrates 8th Birthday at the Arlington B&B

Visions of grandeur set the day as the girls gathered for a party. Long and short gowns were worn for a beautiful fashion show. All the girls were so beautifully dressed, so elegant with their nails polished, fancy hats, furs and heels. A high tea followed with a light assortment of ladyfinger sandwiches – chicken salad, pimento, and pineapple cream.

The Everett S. Fick Unit 9, District 8 American Legion Auxiliary met on Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the home of President Gayle Gilcrease. The meeting was called to order by President Gilcrease and members were led in Pledge of Allegiance and prayer by Carolyn Lang.

Eleventh Annual Trista Tyler Nothing But Net Bass Tourney Held

The 11th Annual Trista Tyler Nothing But Net Bass Tournament held on March 15, 2014 at Red River Midway Marina at St.
Maurice, La. was a great success. A total of 83 boats participated, with most teams weighing in their five fish limit. 1st place of $3,000.00 went to the team of Randy Smith & Eric Hayes with a total of 21.27 lbs.,

Club 13 Meets at The Pea Patch March 13

Home Demonstration Club 13 met on Thursday, March 13 at the Pea Patch at 11 a.m. Hostesses were Ruby Tharpe and  Susie Ashley. Members enjoyed a delicious meal. President Inez Anyan called the meeting to order. Vice President Judy Davis gave a very interesting and informative presentation on St. Patrick’s Day. She also explained CodeRed. She offered to fax member’s numbers

Atlanta Preschool and Kindergarten Celebrates 100 Days in School

It’s hard to believe over half of the school year has come and gone. We were proud to celebrate the 100th day of school with Preschool as January came to an end in Kindergarten at Atlanta High School. We celebrated by participating in many  activities associated with 100! We made cereal necklaces, read many books about the 100th Day of School and discussed many things about 100!
