Winnfield Middle School Runners Sparkle at Good Hope Meet

An individual champion and two runner-up finishes highlighted the day for WMS cross country runners at the Good Hope Invitational held in West Monroe this past Saturday. In addition, the 7-8 girls team, comprised entirely of 7th graders, finished fourth in the 10 team meet.

WMS Cross Country makes solid run at West Ridge Invitational

Under threatening skies early, WMS runners turned in a solid performance at the West Ridge Invitational held on campus in West Monroe. Athletes from over ten schools participated in the one plus mile race held this past Saturday.

The Winnfield Tigers faced off against General-Trass (formerly Lake Providence) for Homecoming on Friday, Oct. 10.
The Tigers held their own in the first half, leading 14-7 until just before halftime, when General-Trass scored two touchdowns to take the lead into halftime

Tigers improve in game against Leesville

The Winnfield Tigers traveled to Leesville on Sept. 27 and greatly improved their play despite the loss. The Tigers fought a 34-21 loss hard, but held their heads high after new players and a new strategy made the difference in a close game
