The family of Mary Bemont would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, phone calls, flowers, cards and love shown during her recent illness and passing.

Thank you to the employees at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home and Dr. Iglesias for their care during the last months.

Miss Patsy J. Palmer, age 79 of Goldonna, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Born Wednesday, May 28, 1941 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Palmer, Jr. and Violet Weeks Palmer,

Those left to cherish her memory include her aunt and uncle Betty Weeks and Evyonne Weeks,

Gravesidel service were held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Yankee Springs Cemetery with Rev. Billy Prince officiating.

Serving the family as pallbearers were Steven Weeks, Justin Reed, Logan Adams, Dusty Caskey, Erin Barnett and D.J. Leach.

Ms. Brenda Haddox Etheridge, age 71, of Winnfield, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on December 24, 2020, with her children by her side after a month long battle with Covid.

Brenda was a loyal daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved her family and friends deeply and spent many hours praying and checking on them. Her beautiful smile and Christian witness served to impact others as she sought to glorify God in everything she did.

Brenda was born on January 10, 1949, in Winnfield to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bluch Haddox. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Monroe Shelton and Mr. and Mrs. Elzy Haddox.

Sherri Gwyn Stroud Davison, age 72 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Born Sunday, February 29, 1948 in Orange, Texas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Claiborne and Sadie Lonadier Stroud and her husband, John Wayne Davison.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Beverly Roling (Jay P.) of Rochester, NY,; brother, John Marcus Stroud ( Linda) of Pineville, La. and numerous nieces and nephews,

The family received friends on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Southern Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM. with a graveside services in the St. Maurice cemetery at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 with Rev, Rayford Fredericks officiating.

Serving the family as pallbearers were Mark Stroud, Mike Stroud, Stan Craig, Cody Bedgood, Justin Bedgood and Derrick Davison.

Cheryl Yvonne Caskey Walters

Mrs. Cheryl Yvonne Caskey Walters, age 71 of Dry Prong, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Born Tuesday, September 20, 1949 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lesley Caskey, Jr.; mother, Dorothy Durbin Caskey; and brother, David Glen Caskey.

Mrs. Walters was a member of Tioga United Pentecostal Church and was retired as State Executive Secretary of the USDA Soil Conservation Service.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Walters; her sons, James Todd Box (Stephanie) and Joshua Allen Box; her grandchildren, Austin Box, Jaden Box, Caleb Box, Dylan Box, and Noah Box; and her sister, Donna Privett (Don).

The family received friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Gloryway Church, from 1:00 PM until time of services.

Mary Bernice Fitzgerald passed away on Saturday, December 19,2020 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born May 22,1940 in Winnfield, Louisiana to Woodrow and Vera Blackstock. She was a graduate of Winnfield Senior High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Milton Fitzgerald, sons Kerry Lee Fitzgerald and Thomas Kevin Fitzgerald and one grandchild Dugan Hood.

She is survived by one daughter, Deidre (Roy) Stapleton, three sons, Darren (Sandra) Fitzgerald, Damon (Linda) Fitzgerald, Kendall (Maria) Fitzgerald, and one daughter-in-law, Renee Fitzgerald. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside services celebrating the home going of Mr. Loyd Larry Bryant were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Hargis Baptist Church cemetery in Montgomery, Louisiana with Br. Bruce Weatherford officiating.

Larry, age 80, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2020 after a long hard battle with the COVID-19 virus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Howard Bryant and Opal Guin Bryant, and just recently his brother and friend Herschel Howard Bryant.

Lonnie Earl Bramlett passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home in Winnfield, Louisiana. He was born on January 29, 1941 in Hodge, Louisiana to Elmer and Virgie Weeks Bramlett. He was a graduate of Jonesboro Hodge High School in the class of 1959. He also graduated from Northwestern State University with a degree in Business.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Paul Bramlett, two daughters, Leigh Anne Bramlett and Susan (Jason) Delaune, and three grandchildren, Preston, Emilia, and Carter Delaune, and also by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Billie Ray “Bill” Berry, age 82 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1938 in Winn Parish and was a co-owner of Farr Auto Supply where he worked for more than 52 years. He was a long time member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church in Winnfield where he was ordained as a Deacon. He continued to be an active deacon at First Baptist Church in Winnfield and its mission First Baptist Church in Dodson. He was also a member of Builders for Christ and Gideons International.
