Ivy Randolph Creel, Sr. October 16, 1917 – December 2, 2013 Winnfield High School Class of 1937

Ivy Creel, Sr. passed away Monday, December 2, 2013, at the age of 96. He was a World War II veteran of the 9th Army, educator, husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and beloved patriarch of the Creel family. Ivy was born in Joyce, LA, and was a life-long resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Ivy served as a County Agent with the LSU Agriculture Extension Service for approximately 30 years; he has been affectionately remembered by many who participated in 4-H during their school years, as well as farmers whose problems he helped solve. Affectionately known to family and friends as PaPa Creel or Uncle Ivy, many came to know and love him through his online CaringBridge.org site which was developed to post photos and update family/friends on his health. Graveside services for John H. Engles, 84 of West Monroe were held November 23, 2013 at the Atlanta Cemetery at 2 p.m. John H. Ingles passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in West Monroe. Those left to cherish his memory is a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Adell McKinley of West Monroe, LA and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were: Robert Thomisee, Steven Thomisee, James Ballio Jr., William Keith and John McKinley. Services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with Rev. Joel Hines officiating.

McKenna Bryanne Sanders

A service to honor the life of Ms. McKenna Bryanne Sanders was held at 1 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Shaun Garner, Truman Leach and Olan McLaren officiating. Interment followed at L. C. Weaver in Campti, LA. McKenna, 20 years of age and a resident of Goldonna, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born May 17, 1993 in Shreveport, LA to Bryan and Kendria Sanders. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bob and Janice Losey. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Bryan and Kendria Sanders; sisters, Karsyn Sanders and Taryn Sanders; grandmother, Betty Sanders; grandfather, Jerry Sanders and his wife Christy; aunts, Kayla Buffington, Kim Van Meter and her husband Craig; cousins, Bobby Van Meter and Jake Hay; as well as many friends.
