Mildred Lewis King, age 70 of Winnfield, LA, passed away September 20. Services were held September 24.

Miss Bethany Grace Johnson, age 30 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Born Thursday, October 3, 1985 in Alexandria, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alvin Ball; paternal grandparents, Richard and Irene Johnson; and aunt, Diane Lunsford. Bethany will always be remembered for her unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, David J. “Joe” and Donna Lynn Ball Johnson, Winnfield, LA; sisters, Jennifer Davenport, Seattle, WA and Caitlin Johnson, Winnfield, LA; maternal grandmother, Mary Inez Ball, Winnfield, LA; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Tannehill, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services for Dannie Dale Jones were held at 10:00 A.M Monday, September 26, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Joel Hines and Rev. Mike Green officiated. Interment followed at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Sikes, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Dannie Dale Jones, age 71, of West Monroe passed away on September 23, 2016. He was born on January 28, 1945 in Winn Parish. He worked as an electrician for 45 years before retiring from West Fraser. Dale loved to be outdoors and to hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashby Dale Jones and Alma Burnett Jones and brother, Bobby Wayne Jones. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years Barbara Hair Jones; sons, Jeff Jones (April), Dustin Jones (Jennifer); daughter Tonya Jordan (Ryan); 3 grandchildren, Mercedes Jordan, Ashley and Zach Jones; brothers, A.D. Jones (Betty), Tommy Jones (Lynn) and Andy Jones (Paula); sisters, Janice Rowton, Joy Linder(Ron) and Bonnie Crowell.

Janice Farmer, age 55 of Winnfield, LA, passed away September 8, 2016. Services were held September 17.

John David Barlish born Dec. 03, 1947 in Shreveport, La passed from this world on Sept. 12, 2016. John loved his God, his country, and his family. He graduated from Woodlawn High in 1966 and went to Voc. Tech and became a barber at Uptown Barber Shop, then Marcus Furniture Co., City of Shreveport and retired from Frymaster. John is proceeded in death by parents Bennie and Odessa (Dykes) Barlish, mother and father in law John and Myrtis Poisso and Brother in law Billy A. Poisso. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Johnnie Barlish and son Ben Barlish of Memphis, Tennessee. His family expresses gratitude for the many kindness shown to John by Dr. Michael R. Moore, Rita, and Hollie at WK Cancer Center North. Dr. Scott Patton at Christus Highland Medical Center. Dr. Tharwat Ghattas and Dr. Kirtan N. Koticha, all the Sisters and employees on 3rd floor. Dr. Robert Holladay, Dr. Satish Kalanjeri, and Dr. Koshy at LSU Health Medical Center. A graveside service was held Wednesday Sept.

Mrs. Theresa Dale Baker, age 89 of Rowlett, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Born Tuesday, October 12, 1926 in Atlanta, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Fred L. Shumake and Virginia Gatton Shumake Merrill; husband, James T. Baker; and son, Shawn E. Baker; and sister, Eugenia Thornton. Mrs. Baker will be remembered as an independent, giving, caring person and will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Freddy Marvin Shumake and wife Margaret; nieces and nephews, John Oxley, Charles Thornton, Jr., Derinda Smalling, Samantha Shumake Prestridge, and Christina Goodwin; as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Keyes officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Cemetery, in Atlanta.

Mrs. Alice Annette Redfearn Parker, age 72 of Georgetown, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016. Born Wednesday, October 20, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida, she was preceded in death by her Parents, Herbert Lloyd Redfearn and Alice Rose Maxwell Armstrong; Sister, Sydney Cruse, and Brother, R. Clark Redfearn. Mrs. Parker was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, devoting her full-time attention to her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband of 44 years, Raymond Parker, Georgetown; Children, Greg Waxley (Mary), Lafayette, Tracy Waxley Zimmerman (Rex), Calvin, Jennifer Waxley O’Neal, Maurepas, Kyle Waxley (Cathy), Pineville, Ty Parker (Malinda), Dodson, Raymond Nathaniel “Nat” Parker. II (Tara), Georgetown, Kotye Parker O’Neal (Joey), Kelly; 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Hebert Loyd Redfearn, II, Donald Redfearn, Timmy Armstrong, Hunter Armstrong and Jane VanMol.

Mrs. Frankie “Sally” Gordon Guilliams, age 67 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Born Sunday, September 4, 1949 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford D. and Evelyn Box Gordon. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Donnie Guilliams, Dodson, LA; daughters, Stacey Guilliams, Dodson, LA and Shelley Guilliams Swanson and husband Jeremy, Prairieville, LA; son, Dustin Guilliams and wife Casey, Dodson, LA; 6 grandchildren, Mallory Lake, Kamryn Swanson, Layne Swanson, A.J. Weil, Hannah Guilliams, and Drake Guilliams; brothers, Weldon, Harley, and Frank “Butch” Gordon. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rayford Chandler and Rev. Ronny Taylor, Sr. officiating. Interment followed in Hurricane Creek Cemetery, in Dodson, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
