Burial was held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Alexandria National Cemetery in Pineville, LA. Services were entrusted to Winnfield Funeral Home, 117Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Winnfield.

James William Thompson

Mr. James William Thompson, age 58 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. Jimmy is survived by his father, James E. Thompson, mother Sally A. Thompson, brother, Dan Thompson, all living in Bend, Oregon; sister Roxanne Stephens living in Las Vegas Nevada, daughter Tasha Kiger of Salem, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Jimmy loved to hunt and fish, and loved to work. He was a mill manager at Winn Lumber Mill for 4 years and had worked in the lumber industry for 30 years. Mr. Jessie Earl Hall, age 81 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Born Saturday, July 30, 1932 in, Mississippi, he was a retired steamboat captain and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Those left to cherish his memory include his friends and caregivers, John and Donna Pickett, Ryan and Katie Pickett, Michael Pickett and his beloved “adopted great-grandkids”, John Michael and Dolcy.
