Mr. DeWayne Jeffery “D.J.”Lambert, Sr., age 26 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.Born Sunday, December 9,1990 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, he was currently employed in the logging industry with JKM Logging. “D.J.” will be remembered as a loving son, husband, daddy and brother who always had a smile to share.“D.J.” was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Univee Lambert and maternal grandmother, Sharan Knighten.

Mrs. Kimberly Francine Spangler Womack, age 36 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017.Born Saturday, July 5, 1980 in Alexandria, Louisiana, she was a 1998 graduate of Winnfield Senior High School and a graduate of Winn Vo Tech with a degree in Business. She enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds and rabbits. Most of all, she enjoyed fishing with her loving husband and traveling with her daughter, Jaicie to barrel races and horse shows and watching her play basketball and softball. Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Elena Spangler and Odell and Lillie Mae Jordan Coburn; aunts and uncles, Helen Spangler Key and Frances Spangler Stringer and Rodger Coburn and Joseph Spangler.

Mamie Elizabeth Melton Younger

Mamie Elizabeth Melton Younger began her final rest on April 12, 2017, at home with family and friends, from complications following a stroke in February, 2016. Mamie was born August 11, 1928, in Winnfield, Louisiana, to Riley Clinton Melton and her namesake, Mamie Elizabeth Gelvin Melton, who died in childbirth. Until the age of three, Mamie was raised by her Aunt Brassie and Uncle “Paw” Crooks, before joining her father, three older brothers, Riley Bowman, James Edward, and William Huey Melton, and the woman Mamie knew as her “second mother,” Lilly Williams Melton, on the family farm. There, Mamie grew into the vivacious, caring person were member, a free spirit who had the unique gift of making everyone feel special and loved. Fulfilling a promise to her mother, Mamie’s father sent her to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, where Mamie earned the distinction of serving as a “Purple Jacket” ambassador.

John Wayne Davison

Mr. John Wayne Davison, age 70 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017.Born Thursday, June 6, 1946 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, J. P. and Montine Beasley Davison; brother-in-law, Jack Plunkett. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sherri Stroud Davison; siblings, Mary Davison Plunkett, Leland Davison and Phillip Davison; nieces and nephews, Henrietta Plunkett, Cheree Litton, Danita Davison, Dewaine Davison and Derrick Davison. Graveside funeral services were held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Maurice Cemetery with Rayford Fredricks officiating. Annie Goodwin, age 47 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.Born Friday, January 9, 1970in Ruston, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her father, Carl W. Admire; son, Joshua Admire; and daughter, Cassandra Brown. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Selbie Thornhill Smith and step-father, Roger Smith, Winnfield, LA; sisters, Delisa Blake and husband Tommy, Goldonna, LA, and Dawn Homan and husband Sam, Winnfield, LA; half brothers, Michael, Emory, and William Admire; half sisters, Patricia and Niki Admire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2017at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, from 4:00 PM until7:00 PM. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Southern Funeral Home with Reverends Brian McAllister and Steven Smithson officiating. Mrs. Helen Louise Bruce Kendrick, age 75 of Georgetown, Louisiana passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017.Born Thursday, December25, 1941 in Rochelle, LA, she was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Eunice Brazzell Bruce; and her brothers Richard Bruce and James Bruce. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Malcolm “Mutt” Kendrick; daughters, Kay Mitchell (Booger)and Kelly Kendrick; her sons, Jeff Kendrick (Sissy), Jody Kendrick, and Jason Kendrick (Krystal); and her sister, Mary Brunson; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grand children, and 3 greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 10,2017 at Georgetown Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Bruce and Carl Griffith officiating. Interment followed in Georgetown Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Serving the family as pallbearers were Carl Bruce, Scott Bruce, Dee Brunson, Jamie Brunson, Mark Bruce, Mark Kendrick, Mike Bruce.

Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church in Winnfield, LA on Saturday, April 8, at 11 a.m. for Michael Lee Tinnerello, age 72 of Winnfield, LA who passed away on Wednesday, April 5,2017, in Winnfield after a lengthy illness. Mike was born June 19, 1944in Winnfield, LA to the union of Emile Joseph “Pete” Tinnerello and Francis Kathleen Dunn Tinnerello. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Tyron Tinnerello and his brother, Thomas Robert Tinnerello. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Shelby Jean Erskins Tinnerello; brother Emile Joseph “Pat” Tinnerello (Linda); sister Teresa Kathryn “Kathy” Tinnerello Turner (Randy); sister-in-law Anita Tinnerello; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mike was a lifelong resident of Winnfield, LA, graduating from Winnfield High School in 1962 where he was an out-standing all-around athlete.

Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Kurt Yellott, age 38, were held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, Plain Dealing, LA with Rev. Andy Harris officiating. Interment followed in Hamiter Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA. Mr. Yellott was born on August 5, 1978 to Donis Timothy Yellott and Vickie Elaine Hamiter Yellott in Dallas, TX and passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Winnfield, LA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Iraq War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved his family very much. He is survived by his daughter, Gracie Yellott; two sons, Luke Yellott and Spencer Yellott; parents, Donnie and Vickie Yellott of Plain Dealing, LA; two brothers, Tim Yellott, Josh Yellott both of Plain Dealing, LA; step-son, Kessler Matlock; best friend, Kristan Green of Winnfield, LA; and a host of other family and friends.
