Our son Hunter and wife Emily own a construction company. Emily also works at various other jobs in Calvin. A Win for the Tigers and a Win for the Community

The lunchroom ladies from Calvin High School are ready for Fall. They not only make sure that students receive a healthy, balanced meal they also keep their kitchen and dining area decorated for each occasion.

WSHS Tigers came away with a victory in their home opener vs Cedar Creek this past week with a final score of 20-0. It was a great way to kick off the season. Added to the game was the new Athletic Safety Policy that was put into place.

The public was notified of the changes prior to last week’s game so that everyone would be prepared. WSHS principal Chase Bartlett stressed the concern for the well being and safety of both the student athletes and the fans.

According to a statement released by Mr. Bartlett after the first game of the season, the night was a success all the way around. He thanked both the community and fans that helped make the night a success. He congratulated the football team, spirit group as well as the band for awesome performances.

Bartlett continued with expressing that the goal of WSHS is to “unify the school, community and all supporters while maintaining a safe and family-friendly environment at all WSHS events.”
