Article Image Alt Text

This year, the challenge that was met by all Beta Clubs in the nation was to “rock the country”, that was our theme. And Winnfield Middle School’s club has done just that all year. It started officially in January, when WMS hosted the District 1 convention for the second year in a row. At that level, students placed FIRST in Quiz Bowl, Speech, Living Literature, Group Talent, TShirt, Spotlight your Club; SECOND in Poster; and FOURTH in Banner. Earlier this month, 27 WMS Beta students travelled to Lafayette for two days to compete at the state level at the CajunDome. They participated in quiz bowl written tests and head-to-head buzzer rounds of competition, academic tests, living literature displays and talent shows.
