Mr. Ezria Bryant “Chuck” Sanders, age 83 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Born Wednesday, December 31, 1930 in Tullos, Louisiana, he was retired having worked 60 years in the insurance industry. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his Parents, David B. and Loice Sanders; and 6 Siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include 7 Children, 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Magnolia Cemetery, Tullos. Interment followed under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Ola Mae Davenport, 98 of Winnfield, LA died January 12, 2014. Funeral services were held January 18, 2014 at the Morning Star Baptist Church. Interment was held at Cedar Grove B.C. Cemetery in Winnfield, LA.

Mrs. Connie Lou Alexander DeSoto, age 54 of St. Maurice, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, January 09, 2014. Born Sunday, June 28, 1959 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was a Licensed Professional Nurse and an avid outdoors enthusiast and an animal lover. Mrs. DeSoto was preceded in death by her Parents, Horace Alfred and Mary Lou Alexander; Brother, Philip “Seed” Alexander. Those left to cherish her memory include her Husband, Billy Joe DeSoto, of St. Maurice; Daughter, Crystal Atkins and husband John, Winnfield; Granddaughter, Chasten Atkins, Winnfield. Memorial services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Moreno officiating.
