Mr. John Earlie J. E. Rikard

Mr. John Earlie J. E. Rikard went to be with his Lord and his large family in heaven on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
J. E. was born February 12, 1924 near Winnfield, Louisiana. He is the son of the late James Earlie Rikard and the late Pearl Bice Rikard. He served his country proudly during World War II and received many honors, which he did not talk about. He did talk about the many meals he made for the men as he was a cook. Anyone that knew him for any time surely got a sample of the wonderful rolls he made. He was also a mason for over 50 years. He was a member of Pasadena Lodge No. 1155 AF&AM in Pasadena, Texas. He lived in Pasadena and worked for Shell Oil for over 35 years. It is said that, later when he was in management, he never learned to be a “Boss” because when a job was finished he
was always dirtier than anyone else. Mr. Rikard loved to square dance and water ski among other things with his
friends. J. E. was a wonderful friend to all that knew him and was always extending a helping hand. Mr. Rikard leaves to cherish his memory, Betty Humphries his partner for the last 13 years and her family. The most special person in his life, their granddaughter Neoma and Betty’s children Keith and Kimberly Humphries, Kenneth Humphries, Rita and Rick Holtwisch; in-laws, nieces, and nephews include: John and Bobbie Rowell and family, Thelma and James Maxey and family, Dinah and James Givens and family, Sam Lowdermilk brother-in-law, Barbara and Claude Conrad and family, David and Kathleen Lowdermilk and family, James and Dianne Lowdermilk and family, Nora and Bob Bernhardt, Dovie Rikard, sister-in-law, Deryle Harsell and family, Deborah Gay and family, Marilyn and Ron Harkins, Karen and Colvin Garrett and family, also like a son Kevin and Gena Hatcher and family. B. Rikard. His extended family were members of the Rikard and Bice families. He is surely loved and will be missed by everyone.
