Mr. John Earlie J. E. Rikard went to be with his Lord and his large family in heaven on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
J. E. was born February 12, 1924 near Winnfield, Louisiana. He is the son of the late James Earlie Rikard and the late Pearl Bice Rikard. He served his country proudly during World War II and received many honors, which he did not talk about. He did talk about the many meals he made for the men as he was a cook. He lived in Pasadena and worked for Shell Oil for over 35 years. It is said that, later when he was in management, he never learned to be a “Boss” because when a job was finished he
was always dirtier than anyone else. Mr. Rikard loved to square dance and water ski among other things with his
friends. J. E. was a wonderful friend to all that knew him and was always extending a helping hand.
