Mr. Otis Glen Guin, age 97 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015. Born Thursday, September 13, 1917 in Georgetown, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his father, Albert Guin, mother, Elizabeth McConathy Guin, first wife, Gracie Rosier Guin, and brothers, Robert and James Guin. Mr. Guin served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. He was retired from the timber industry and was an avid gardener. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Flora “Cricket” Guin, Winnfield, LA; sons, Bobby Guin and wife Kathleen, Randy Guin and wife Jeanette, daughters, Connie Dubois and husband Jerry, Patricia St. Germain and husband Nicholas, grandchildren, Courtney Paul, Brandy Larson, Shannon Dubois, Chris Mondshine; Jennifer Smith and Jonathan Logan; 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lucille Evelyn Mayo,age 96 of Montgomery,Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 03, 2015.Born Sunday, July 27, 1919 in Oakes, North Dakota, she was preceded in death by her father August Erdmann, mother, Rosa L. Conro Erdmann,husband, Clayton Mayo,daughters, Jennifer Davis andJackie Meher, brother, Robert Erdmann, and sisters, Marie Ellingson and Betty Dob son.Mrs. Mayo was a retired pharmacy technician andhomemaker. Ida Mae Taylor Kelley, age of 87, of Brewtons Mill passedaway on Monday, July 27,2015.Ida Mae was born onJanuary 23, 1928 inJonesboro, LA. She was retired from the Winn Parish School Board where she was the cafeteria manager at Calvin High School for 22 years.Funeral services were heldon July 29, 2015 at 10am at Bethlehem Baptist Churchwith Rev. Katie Ruth (Lamkin) Jordan,87 of North Hodge passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Jackson Parish Hospital.She enjoyed cooking, workingin her flowers, crocheting and spending time with her family.She is survived by daughters, Norma Jean Jordan Vinesand husband Harold of Dodson, Linda Gayle JordanWest and husband David ofJonesboro; grandchildren,Victor Vines and wife Melissaof Winnfield, Marsha Marlerand husband Donald ofDodson, Melissa Patton and husband Matt of Many,Amanda Frisby and husbandDavid of Sikes; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchildren. Lillian Gaspard Grantadams, 82 of Echo, for merly of Winnfield, LA,passed away peace fully in her residence on Thursday, July30, 2015.She is preceded in death byher husband, Lee Grant adams;her parents, Joseph and Irene Gaspard; her brothers, Fosterand Pierson Gaspard; sisters,Daisy Goux, and Viney andVerna Guillot; and those she loved as brother and sisters,Herman and May, Sr., RussellGrantadams and ShirleyMorris. Lillian was an active member of Our Lady of LourdesCatholic Church in Winnfield.She taught Catechism, bakedfor all the meals and took onmany other projects wherever she was needed. Her favorite pastime was fishing and hunting with her husband.

Mr. George Ottis Gorham,age 87 of Tomball, Texas passed away on Friday,August 07, 2015.Born Friday, August 19,1927 in Winnfield, Louisiana,he was preceded in death by his father, George Lee Gorham; mother, Jessie LeeBox Gorham; wife, Mildred Rae Gorham; son, Gregory Gorham; brothers, Garland and Curtis Gorham; and sister,Billie Roberts.Mr. Gorham served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Mrs. Gladys Marie Doherty Buchanan, age 86 of Joyce,Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015.Born Thursday, June 20,1929 in Hinton Camp,Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her father, Dan W.Doherty; mother, Ethel Lee Peters Doherty; husband,Arnold Lee “Buck”Buchanan; brother, Verlon Doherty; and son-in-law,Perry Joe Smith.Mrs. Buchanan and her hus-band Buck were life-longmembers of East Winnfiel  Baptist Church. She worked asa telephone operator for 27years. Mrs. Buchanan lovedher church and was MissionsDirector for many years. She taught 3 year old’s SundaySchool Class for 17 years and was a member of the choir Mrs. Buchanan was also a BusMinistry worker for 20 yearsas well as an active member of the Cradle Roll and HomeBound Ministry for 60 plusyears at her church.
