Flag Football Late Registration

Late registration for the 2025 Flag Football season has been extended and will go on until Friday, Sept 26. If you have not signed your child up, it’s not too late. The cost during this late registration period is $40.00. Boys and girls ages 4.12 are eligible for this exciting program. Don’t wait until it’s too late. No registrations will be accepted after teams have been picked.

Flag Football tryouts will be held on Saturday, Sept 27 at the Grove St Recreation Center on Field #2. The times per age group are as follows: 4-6 year olds - 10:00 am 7-9 year olds – 11:00 am 10-12 year olds – 11:50am Coaches should sign up now. Kiwanis Hears About Ireland from 4H Students

Special guests for the September 9th Kiwanis club meeting were Gracie Moore, Kristi Moore, Blakelyn Busha, Jodie Busha, Karen White and Shannon Chevallier. Gracie and Blakelyn shared their experiences from the 4H trip to Ireland that they took this summer. There were 5 students from Winn Parish and 5 adults (parents/grandparents) who went on the trip. This was the first time for the 4H to go on an international trip. This was an educational trip to learn about agriculture in a different environment. They joined other students from the northern region of Louisiana-53 total. There were also students from the southern region but they did not see them on the trip. A total of over 100 students made the journey. One group left 2 days before the other.

ASIST to Hold TwoDay Workshop

A two-day workshop in suicide intervention skills will be held on Wednesday, Aug 27 and Thursday, Aug 28 at the Winnfield CLTCC, located at 5960 US 167 in Winnfield. LOUISIANA VOTER REGISTRATION WEEK 2025 BEGINS AUGUST 25

Secretary of State Nancy Landry joins Registrars of Voters across the state the week of August 25-29, 2025 to promote Voter Registration Week activities aimed at registering Louisiana citizens to vote ahead of the October 11 election. The deadline to register to vote in person or by mail is Wednesday, September 10, and the deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Saturday, September 20.

“The first step to participating in the electoral process is registering to vote. It’s never been easier to register or update your registration information in Louisiana–any citizen with a Louisiana license or ID can register online in a matter of minutes at GeauxVote.com,” Secretary Landry said.
