The Fallen Angel

The angelic world did not have evil angels or demons until there was rebellion in the angelic world, with many angels turning against God and becoming evil. Satan himself led this rebellion. Lucifer was a great angel who rebelled against God and persuaded one third of the angels to side with him. Angels are spirits created by God. The Bible does not give a clear answer as to when angels were created. Cherubims are depicted in Scripture as powerful and majestic angelic creatures who surround God’s throne. And Lucifer had once been a guardian cherub.

Revelation 12:7-9 (NKJV), “And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

If anyone hadn’t told you, we’re in spiritual warfare.

And the enemy’s starting to get blatantly bolder in his last hours.

Yes, the unbeliever and Biblically illiterate can’t quite grasp what I’m saying—for their

“the god of this world” (II Corinthians 4:4).

You might know him by the names of satan. . .lucifer. . .the devil. . .a thief. . .a liar and the “father of lies”.

. .or a

“roaring lion seeking whom he may devour” (I Peter 5:8).

But, most of all he’s God adversary—and has been ever since God threw him out of Heaven when he tried to stage a coup de tat along with onethird of the angels. Why God didn’t just obliterate him then and there, we don’t know; that’s why we must let God be God and trust Him even when we can’t understand Him.

U.S. Supreme Court Deals Another Blow to the AntiDemocratic Federal Administrative State

U.S. Supreme Court Deals Another Blow to the AntiDemocratic Federal Administrative State

The U.S. Supreme Court last week decisively blocked yet another unconstitutional action by a federal agency.

The cases at issue are Axon Enterprise v. FTC and SEC v. Cochran. The private parties in these suits challenged both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the broad grounds that they operate in an unconstitutional manner and in violation of our Separation of Powers doctrine.

In these cases, the Supreme Court answered a simple question: do private parties have to go through the lengthy and costly administrative process before they can seek review of their constitutional challenge in a federal court? The Court—all nine justices in a rare display of unanimity— said “no” holding that private parties can take a constitutional challenge to the federal agency itself directly to federal court without first ‘exhausting the administrative process and remedies’ as required by the agency’s own regulation.

U.S. Intelligence Officials Who Claimed Hunter Biden Laptop Story was “Russian Disinformation” Knew That Was False

U.S. Intelligence Officials Who Claimed Hunter Biden Laptop Story was “Russian Disinformation” Knew That Was False

It turns out that the 51 former U.S. intelligence experts who signed the letter that President Biden used in the debate with President Trump to allege that the explosive and damaging information contained in Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian fake—were, in fact, pushing the actual “Russian disinformation” campaign!

Recall, this letter was also the “authority” used by Twitter, Facebook, and many other social media platforms to censor and hide from the American people the New York Post’s article which, in great detail, reported the truth about abundant evidence of widespread global corruption of the Biden Crime Family contained on Hunter’s ‘Laptop from Hell.’

Cooking meals at home may be practical. But did you know there are other benefits to it as well?

The most common benefit of cooking at home is that you get a chance to clean out your refrigerator, pantry, and freezer.

Look in your refrigerator and pantry to see what you have, and then find a creative way to prepare it.

Sitting at the table and enjoying the meal gives you a chance to relax for a moment. It also allows you time to catch up with what other family members are doing and enjoy each other’s company.

Once dinner is over, take a moment to think about the conversation you just had with your family while you are doing dishes. Think about ways you can encourage your child when they share their dreams. Did one family member seem to be quieter than normal? It may signal a need to check on them and see if things are okay.

“Jesus: the ‘AllinOne’ Savior”
In Him we find everything we’re looking for.
Jesus.

When we realize that God’s Good News is about relationship, not religion, everything takes on a whole new meaning. Someone once defined religion as “Man’s attempt to find God; but the Gospel tells how God came looking for us.”

Hallelujah!!

Yes, religion consists of rules-andregulations. . .lists of “Do this” and “Don’t do that”

. . . which are impossible to always keep. . .for none of us are perfect or able to always tow-the-line. . .dot every “i” and cross every “t.”

Consequently, this leaves us with feelings of guilt and inward condemnation: for we never measure up to God’s or others’ expectations/ requirements.

4-H students from Atlanta High School recently collected over 1300 individual items for the local food pantry.

The Kiwanis club is very grateful for all the people who contributed to our Boston Butt Scholarship lunch held Monday, April 3rd. Jimmy Dale Zimmerman and Autumn Leaves Nursing Home provided the potato salad, Sheriff Cranford Jordan and Don Reading at the Winn Detention Center provided the green beans, Mac’s Fresh Market provided the bread and Kiwanis President Kim Futrell provided the cakes. Those seasoning the meat and doing the cooking were Jim Nicols, Dr. Bill Gaddis, Lamar Tarver, Joe Evans, Dylan Womack, Ronnie Dubois, and Troy Rogers. Many Kiwanis members and friends were available to put the plates together and deliver those that were delivered. Thanks to our wonderful community for supporting our fundraiser that provides scholarships for 2 seniors in the parish and also a scholarship to the Technical College.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Letter to Parents in this Alcohol Responsibility Month From: Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry

April marks the end of Winter and the beginning of yet another season, leading us into the long days of Summer. Many of us will try to spend as much time as we can in the coming months enjoying the outdoors - whether that be on our patios, one of Louisiana’s waterways, or a favorite vacation spot.

“It’s Friday: But Sunday’s Coming”

“It’s Friday: But Sunday’s Coming”

In reality, that’s the Gospel Message: “It may be Friday now: but Sunday’s coming!!”

Anymore, it seems like every day’s Friday. . .like a real-life version of the moving “Groundhog Day”. . .where it’s the same day. . .over and over again.

Yes, anymore, every day is “Bad News Friday”: where our dreams are dashed on the hard rocks of reality and adversity and it’s “Every man for himself,” while “Doom, despair and agony on me” is playing on the radio: *The killing of innocent children in a Christian school by one whose heart and mind were dark, depraved and demonic *The terror of tornadoes, leaving massive destruction, devastation, deaths and despair in their wake *The deepening divide politically, financially, socially and spiritually in our nation and world, etc.

Time is one of our most valuable commodities. There are 24 hours in each day, which equals out to 1,440 minutes. We aren’t guaranteed a certain amount of time to live, so we need to make each minute count.

Yes, in order to survive, we have to work to produce an income. In addition to our job, we also have homes to maintain, yards to mow, errands to run, and still find time to eat and sleep.

What we fail to remember is we also need time to pursue other fun activities. In order to maintain a healthy physical and mental life, we need time to play, relax, and enjoy life. That’s when a Time Budget may come in handy.

A Time Budget works similar to a financial budget. It can show us at a quick glance where we are ‘spending’ our time.
