Snow Day: Take Two!

Article Image Alt Text

Braelynn Golemon, Gracee Barton and Hadley Kay Golemon woke up Tuesday morning to find even more snow in their yard than the week prior! In fact, it stayed on the ground for two more days.

Snow in Winn Parish is a rare occurrence anyway, but two snow days in a week? That’s practically a once in a lifetime event. Winn Parish experienced half a foot of snow between Jan. 24-28, giving children in Winn Parish two snow days in less than a week of one another. The snow that fell on Jan. 28 was an offset of Winter Storm Leon, which blanketed much of the south and almost completely shut down Atlanta, GA.
