To celebrate Consitution Day on Sept 16, students from Winnfield Middle School were greeted by local civic leaders, a Constitution Day banner, and patriotic music playing in the background. Each homeroom received a hand-held flag to commemorate the day. Pictured L-R: Sheriff Cranford Jordan, Father of the Constitution James Madison, and Winnfied Mayor Gerald Hamm. Winnfield Middle School defeated Jonesboro Hodge Tigers (28-12) on Sept 15 in Winnfield. It was an impressive win for WMS. What was even more impressive was the integrity and character shown by Jonesboro Hodge Coach Trevaun Calahan and his Assistant Coach, Asante Belton. These men stayed after the game and made sure the visitors side of the field was clean before departing. A great example to players as well as spectators.
