Our beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend exchanged time for eternity on June 23, 2021 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, LA. Brother Booker T. Chatman was born in Trout, LA on November 23, 1933. His parents were T. J. and Lillie Chatman, both preceded him in death.

A life well lived included working faithfully with the Sunday School Ministry in his early years. He attended until he was faced with medical conditions.

He could always be found reading the Bible, working crossword puzzles, watching the news or sneak feeding the family pet Jackson. He was an avid sports fan, with the New Orleans Saints being his favorite team. He also enjoyed riding with his children and recalling past events.

He supported his family by working at Milam Wholesale, Olin Chip Mill and then retiring from Cole Oil & Tire as a truck driver.

He was united in holy matrimony to the late Sister Irene Jones Chatman. Bro. Booker was preceded in death by his brother Luther Davis.

He loved his family and will be missed by his sister Camilla Law of Minden, LA and ten children: Carolyn Washington, Sharon Starks, Iris Robinson, Chrissy Chatman, Dwanna Chatman all of Winnfield, LA and Sameka Covington (Terrence) of Fort Bragg, NC, Tommy Chatman (Deborah), Ricky Chatman (Javonka), Randy Chatman (Brenda) all of Baton Rouge, LA and Joe Chatman (LaTonya) of Winnfield, LA.

Others left to cherish his memories are 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.
