Atlanta High School attends first ever LHSAA State Fishing Championship

Atlanta High School Fishing team being visited by the LSU-Shreveport fishing team coach Charles Thompson.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) held their first state fishing competition on April 16 and 17, and the Atlanta High School Fishing Team attended, along with over 70 teams, to compete in the contest at Cross Lake in Shreveport.

The team is made up of students from all across the parish and include:

Atlanta High School – Wesley Stewart, Braxton Slayter, Dylan Goodwin, Lucas Dunn and Ian McLaren.

Calvin High School – Denver Blackman

Dodson High School – Cade Bolton, B.J. King and Cody King
