The West Fraser Joyce Mills in Winn Parish handed out 600 free hams on Dec. 22 ahead of the holiday season.

Nearly 400 hams were given out to people who showed up at the mills, and over 200 hams were delivered to home bound people throughout the parish.

“Reflecting back on 2020, it’s been a challenging year,” General Manager Billy Bell said. “This is something we wanted to do to reach out to the community and help. We feel fortunate to be able to do this if it wasn’t for the community, and we’re here for them.”
