Sheriff Jordan returns home after fight with COVID­19

Winn Parish Sheriff Cranford Jordan, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and placed on a ventilator, returned home last Thursday.

Winn Parish Sheriff Cranford Jordan returned home Oct. 8, Thursday afternoon. He had tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago, and became serious, which forced him to be put on a ventilator at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Sheriff Jordan was taken off the ventilator on Sept. 29 and continued to improve, but lost 60 pounds during the ordeal.

“I’m blessed to be here,” Sheriff Jordan said. “God took care of me. I’m not supposed to be here. I’m diabetic, I have high blood pressure, but God took care of me.
