“I think in sound. How do you think?”

Last week at Rotary, Rotarian of the week Bob Holeman opened by stating that some guests speak about their jobs while others share about their causes. However, meetings come alive when speakers share about their passion. With this introduction, he paved the way for his guest (and wife) Diane Holeman to share about American Sign Language. Diane is an interpreter for the Deaf. She always wanted to communicate with this particular community and remembers as a child wanting to connect with her Deaf cousin Nancy, but Diane did not know how. She would stand amazed as she observed Nancy talking with her parents and siblings.
