Jared Beville, right, spoke to the Rotary Club of Winnfield on Sept. 11 about the Entrepreneur Accelerator Program. He is shown with Rotarians Kiah Beville who arranged that day’s program and John Glyn Jackson.

Winnfield native Jared Beville spoke to the Rotary Club of Winnfield Sept. 11 on the Entrepreneur Accelerator Program, a division of the Biomedical Research Foundation of Shreveport. While the program works to give Caddo Parish entrepreneurs a leg up in their business startup, a 2-year grant, NorLEAP, extends that free assistance to all north Louisiana parishes. Unfortunately, Winn Parish is not included, bundled instead to the Alexandria region.

The Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program offers mentorship programs designed to accelerate ideas of entrepreneurs, their product or existing business into a thriving company quickly by providing intensive startup support. The EAP team of mentors will work alongside participants, working on everything from the business plan and model, market and financial analysis to prepping the business hopefuls to receive funding, such as “Angel Investment,” Beville told Rotarians.

The team explores the details of ideas, product or business to determine which resources EAP might provide to help advance the new venture into a revenue driving, fast-growing, innovative firm.
