Louisiana Loggers Association Puts Together Political Action Committee

The Louisiana Loggers Association has been working hard for our Loggers and Log Haulers. This year, the 25-year association reorganized and redirected the purpose of the LLA. With loggers struggling to survive this insurance crisis, representation at the capitol was vital. A Political Action Committee was put into place and more loggers were added to the LLA board. The LLA was able to form many friendships and allies with legislators and associations in Baton Rouge during this session. These friends assisted in aiding the LLA to benefit the timber community.

HB 106 (McFarland) – The Right to Farm and Forest Law; to include forest and timber land and forest and timber operations in the legislative declaration that agricultural land and operations must be protected; and to provide for relative matters.
