Tigers Baseball Season Starts Off With Two Victories

WSHS Tigers

The WSHS Baseball Tigers started their season off on the winning side when they welcomed 3A Caldwell Spartans for their home opener. Once again the JV got good vibes rolling when they were victorious in 3 innings, with a stellar offense performance with a score of 9-2. The Varsity hen took the field and cranked up some offense of their own. The weather was freezing but the boy’s bats were hot as the Tigers jumped out to a commanding lead. However Caldwell slowly itched their way back with a strong inning causing the game to continue. But the boys bounced back and the offense woke up in the bottom of the 5 th inning causing the game to be called. The Tigers notched their first win prevailing 18-8.

The boys then traveled down south to the Ross Granger Prep Classic on February 22-23. In their first matchup on Friday the Tiger’s played against last year’s State Champion 2A powerhouse Notre Dame.
