Emma Geneva Hebert Brewton was born July 23, 1919, in Hecker, Louisiana, and died Friday, March 13, 2015, at her home in Winnfield, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by Joseph Elton Brewton, her husband of fifty-three years; her
parents, Fred and Emma Buller Hebert; two brothers, Fred Marvin Hebert and Isadore (Miggy) Hebert; and one sister, Belle Dennison. She is survived by her children, Brian Brewton and his wife Kathy, Greg Brewton, and Charlotte Brewton Minsky, all of Winnfield; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and her sister, Evelyn McDonald of Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Brewton was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and its Tri L Sunday School Class. An avid golfer and bridge player, she was a charter member of Pine Ridge Country Club and enjoyed membership in several bridge clubs. She was a former member of the Winnfield Garden Club and the Palestine Chapter No. 55, O.E.S. She was a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. A memorial service for Mrs. Brewton was held at 11:00 Monday, March 16, in the First Baptist Church of Winnfield with Rev. John Holland officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to  First Baptist Church, Winnfield, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be made to the family at
