Elvira Juarez Martinez

Mrs. Elvira Juarez Martinez, age 55 of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mrs. Martinez was a homemaker and a native of Venadero, AGS, Mexico. She was a loving mother and grandmother as she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Filimon Juarez and the late Teresa Santana Juarez and was also preceded in death by her sister Floricita Juarez. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband of thirty seven years Rodolfo Martinez, three sons Jose Angel Martinez and his wife Kelly, Daniel Martinez, Mark Martinez and his wife Sylvia, two daughters Blanca Patricia Martinez and her fiancé Jody Lasyone and Kimberly Snow all of Winnfield. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren Beaux, Jaydian, Chase, Kylon, Jordan, Morgan, Brooklynn, Jose “A.J.”, Meagan, Olivia, Austin, Jacob, Jayden, Kaitlyn, Hayden, Haleigh, Addyson and Gabby; brothers Arturo Juarez, Jesus Juarez, Alvaro Juarez, Filimon Juarez, and Martin Juarez; sisters Adela Juarez, Teresa Juarez, and Juana Maria Juarez; special friends Marsha Allen and Betty Miner numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Calvin Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Verhoeff officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Calvin. Pallbearers were Corey Vernor, Logan Luther, Robin Whitehead, Alex Skains, Max Price, Jeff Hyde, Timothy White, Cody Tarver, Craig Chandler and Cale Chandler.
