A memorial service, celebrating the life of Kathy McClane Tullos will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Winnfield. Kathy was born November 19, 1950 and passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on January 8, 2014. She was born and raised in Winnfield, Louisiana and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Kathy was retired from the City ofWinnfield. Kathy was well known for the many years she volunteered  her time to the community for events, which included the Louisiana Forest Festival, the Louisiana Political Museum, and the lawn mower races. She will be genuinely missed and was loved and respected by many. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Ben Russell Tullos and her parents Dr. J.S. McClane and Marilynn Wood McClane. She is survived by two daughters, Angelia Renee Tullos and special friend Keith Gill, Sr. and Janie Nichole Tullos; four grandchildren: Laramie Dale Boone, Izabella Ruth Beebe, Storie Renee Tullos, and Easton Russell Edwards, all of Winnfield; sister, Sandra McClane O’Bryan, of Shreveport, Louisiana; her brother, K. Wayne McClane of Belfry, Montana.; brother-in-law’s, Danny Tullos and wife Betty of Pineville, Louisiana; Bobby Tullos of Winnfield; sister-in-law Susan Tullos Dauenhauer and husband Steve of Shreveport, Louisiana; and, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, at the First United Methodist Church of Winnfield from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Winnfield, Louisiana or the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
