Services for Mr. Willie Levi Smith, 94 of Winnfield, LA., formerly of Winnsboro, LA., were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro with Bro. Karl Huff officiating. Interment followed in Chase Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Smith was retired from the Louisiana Department of Public Transportation after 29 years, and also retired from the Jim Walter Corporation. He passed away on December 23, 2013. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by wife, Clorea Richardson Smith of 55 years and Katherine Jarrett Smith, son, Willie S. “Billy” Smith and daughter-in-law Edna Smith, daughter-in-law, Kay Peel Smith, son-in-law, Gerald “Spunky” Rowell, grandchild, Levi Smith, and 5 siblings, Floyd Cole, Lloyd Cole, Etta Bell Bowman, Audrey Adair, and G. V. Cole. Survivors include: 2 Children: Betty J. Rowell of Winnfield, La. and Gerald Smith of Winnfield, La; 7 Grandchildren: Cheryl Jones and husband Glynn Jones of Winnfield, La, Tammy Cole of Lake Charles, La, Staci McIntire of Gibson, LA., Kenny Smith and wife Brandi of Winnfield, La, Eddie Smith of Patterson, La, Robert Smith of Houma, La, and Sheri McNeil and husband Tommy of Ponder, TX; 15 Great Grandchildren, One Sister: Myrla Anderson of El Motte, TX; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers were Dalton Wilcher, Scott Wilcher, Tony Jackson, David Rhodes, Colby Rhodes and Buddy Rhodes.
