Mr. Arnon Franklin Jackson, age 88 of Montgomery, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Born Friday, September 25, 1925 in Hargis, Louisiana, he was a veteran of WWII and served in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a former mechanic for Huffman Motors and Marler Ford and was a school bus driver and janitor with the Grant Parish School Board. He was a member of Hargis Baptist Church and J.D. Boston, Jr. VFW Post 11351. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his Parents, Edgar C. and Addie C. Jackson; Wife, Marjorie Dixon Jackson; Two Brothers, Edgar Clarance “E.C.” Jackson, Jr. and Thomas James “T.J.” Jackson. Those left to cherish his memory include his Three Daughters, Barbara Jean Fredieu and husband Benny, Stonewall, LA, Jo Jackson, Montgomery, LA and Debra Jackson, Natchitoches, LA; Son, Stan Jackson and wife Sheila, Montgomery, LA; Sister, Joy Terrell, Calhoun, LA; Eight Grandchildren, Thirteen Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20 from 9:00 AM until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Hargis Baptist Church with Rev. Doug James officiating. Interment will follow in Hargis Cemetery, in Montgomery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Steve Jackson, Mark Jackson, Dolan Jackson, Donnie Jackson, Arlon Terrell, Phillip Terrell, Randy Willbanks and Robert Fredieu. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Fredieu and Stacy Dyson.
