Article Image Alt Text

Judge Staci Wiley introduced guest speaker Clerk of Court Chesney Baxley at the March 26th Kiwanis club meeting. Ms. Baxley worked as City for Clerk for a number of years for Judge Wiley. The Clerk of Court’s office is in charge of the courthouse according to Judge Wiley.

Ms. Baxley spoke to the club shortly after her election as Clerk of Court. After her election 2 people left the clerks office and there was no money to replace them. For a year the office only had 3 employees. One handled civil, one handled criminal, and one to do everything else.

The police jury came to her assistance and provided 4 new computers that were badly needed. They still need 2 more. This computer software has made in big difference in the services that can be provided.
