Peggy Jane Brand Bozeman

Mrs. Peggy Jane Brand Bozeman, age 86 of Winnfield, passed away May 23, 2018 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mrs. Bozeman was born on December 11, 1931 in Sikes, Louisiana and a graduate of Sikes High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Louie D. Brand and Onie White Brand, her husband of 55 years, Estes B. Bozeman; sisters, Jimmie Jean Corry and Betty Lou Creel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, the Tremont Homemakers Club, as well as, The Readers Review Club. She was a homemaker and enjoyed leading her children in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She also loved reading, cooking, gardening, collecting and sharing recipes with her friends and family. Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters: Patricia Long of Katy, Texas, Peggy Hemphill (Doug) of Tyler, Texas, Annabel Turk of Katy, Texas, and Caroline Bozeman of Winnfield, one son: Thomas Bozeman of Shreveport, Louisiana; and five grandchildren: Geoffrey Hemphill (Jana), Stuart Hemphill (Alexandra), Michael Long (Holly), Steven Long, and Nadia Turk and two great grandchildren: Daniel Hemphill and Winston Hemphill. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in the Southern Funeral Home chapel with Rev. John Holland officiating. Internment followed in the Garden of Memories of Winnfield.
