Early Sunday afternoon, the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office Chase Team, along with Winn Parish deputies, were called to assist Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office at the US Immigration and Customs Facility located in Jackson Parish. Two immigrants being housed at the facility escaped and fled on foot. Within an hour and a half, the two individuals were located and captured about 250 yards south of the Facility by the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office Chase Team and Jackson Parish K-9 units. Agencies involved were from the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office, LaSalle Corrections, US Immigration and Customs, Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office Chase Team and deputies.
