A citywide egg hunt was held on Saturday, April 8, at the First Methodist Church in Winnfield. Over 7,000 eggs were hid and retrieved by children in the community. There was an abundance of food and games as well as bouncy houses. In conjunction with the egg hunt was the annual scavenger hunt that began on Monday and ended on Saturday with the grand prize be won by Leslie Rawlinson. Over 20 merchants donated to this event. The weather didn’t hinder the fun the event.

The Hudson Gaars Mill Water System and Community Center hosted an Easter mural painting for the young members of our community on March 25th. Special thanks to Ace Hardware for donating three sheets of plywood, and Walmart for paint and supplies. April 1st children of the community gathered for an Easter egg hunt, followed by refreshments. Prizes were rewarded to the children finding prize eggs, and the two that found the most eggs. It was a wonderful day for everyone involved.
