Wednesday, July 10 was a wonderful day for the Winn Parish Enterprise as over 50 people stopped by to celebrate our 100 birthday. It is almost unbelievable to think that the local paper has been serving the community by providing news and information for a century.

The day would not have been possible without the support of so many. The Bank of Winnfield has always supported WPE and did so during this special occasion by sending over a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Elizabeth Montgomery offered the decorations and helped serve guests, along with Daneen Beaubouef and Janice Austin.

Also, thank you to our local retailers for the gift of door prizes. Those included: Scentsational Scentes, Hometown Farm Supply, David’s Pro Burger, Nichols, Family Jewel Box, Walmart and the Louisiana Political Museum.

Again, it was a wonderful day and thank you to our readers for your support of the Winn Parish Enterprise.
