Mason Lee Chandler

Mason Lee Chandler

Mason Lee Chandler was born November 2, 2016 arriving a whole month before expected weighing 5 lbs. 3 oz. and 19½” long. Taryn and Kyle were over the moon to be his parents, and he brought them so much joy and happiness. Mason Lee went to be with Jesus after a brief illness leaving us entirely too soon on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

As Mason grew up, it was clear he was going to be a firecracker constantly on the go and doing everything little boys love to do. He grew up with many cousins he loved to spend time with. Mason Lee loved visiting his grandparents often; he loved power shopping and running the roads with his Popi, watching dinosaur shows with his Nana, wrestling with his Mimi and squirrel camping with his Pawpaw. Mason Lee also loved his baby sister, Maggie, as well as his dog brother, Odie, very much.

Mason Lee loved chocolate chip muffins and gummies. His favorite colors were green and blue. He could tell you every name of every dinosaur and loved playing with his dinosaur toys. He was recently getting into wrestling which thrilled his Popi.

Mason Lee wasn’t just your typical little boy. He had a heart of gold and everyone who encountered him knew it. He never met a stranger and was always very inquisitive as to what was going on around him. He was the first one to hug your neck hello and goodbye. Those sweet hugs will be missed by everyone lucky enough to receive them.

Mason Lee is preceded in death by cousin, Chandler Rhett Wise along with both his paternal and maternal great-grandparents. Left to cherish his precious memory are his parents, Kyle and Taryn Chandler with sister, Magnolia Rae Chandler; Pawpaw and Mimi, David and Teresa Chandler; Popi and Nana, Michael and Loraine Guerrero; Mawmaw, Kathy Gamble; Uncle May May and Aunt Sas, Mason and Stacy Guerrero; Uncle Gregg and Aunt BB, Gregg and Bri Hemphill; Uncle Jojo and Aunt KK, Jody and Katelyn Wise and so many cousins, all of whom loved him dearly.

Pallbearers were Michael Guerrero (Popi), David Chandler (Pawpaw), Mason Guerrero, Taylor Guerrero, Gregg Hemphill and Jody Wise. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Brandon Bullock, Ray Gamble Jr., David Gamble and Jerry Johnson.

In Mason Lee’s memory, Taryn and Kyle are asking for donations to North DeSoto Lower Elementary under his name for playground equipment for his friends to play on and remember him by.

Our family is especially grateful for the Bossier Parish Fire Dept. Dr. Monica L. Haynes, Dr. Craig Chu and the many nurses and staff members that cared for Mason Lee. We are also grateful for Northpoint Community Church, Shreveport Community Church and the numerous family and friends that have wrapped us up in your love and prayers.
