Jack Madison Fluitt born October 23, 1955 in Jena, LA, left this earth on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 66 years of age to go to his Heavenly home.

Jack was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and tending to his horses. He excelled at deer hunting as anyone who has seen his den can testify. He was at one time the Bow Instructor for Winn Parish. The main love of Jack’s life, however, was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jack was a long time member of Full Gospel Temple in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Since his retirement in 2018 as a 798 Union Welder, Jack faithfully taught his Prime Timers Sunday School Class. He was also a board member and part of the security team. Jack loved preaching and teaching the Word of God anytime there was an opportunity. He was often known to lead prayer meetings on his job sites.

Preceding Jack in death were his parents; Minnie Laverne Metchette and Jack Madison Fluitt, Sr; and step-father, Russell Fredrick Metchette.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kellie Fluitt; his sons, Will Fluitt and wife Ashley, Tyler Fluitt and wife Kaley, Jeremy Babers and Johnny Jerred, II (J.J.); daughters, Jessica Fluitt and husband Michael, Amber Lillback and husband Jeff; one brother, Michael Duane Fluitt and wife Janice; sisters, Dwanna Fluitt Dunn and husband Jack and Pauletta Sue Fluitt Melvin and husband Jim; 12 grandchildren and one on the way, 5 great grandchildren.

The family received friends at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again at Full Gospel Temple in Jonesboro on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service time.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Full Gospel Temple in Jonesboro with Rev. Joel Sneed, Rev. Tim Harris, and Rev. David Wilson officiating.

Interment was in Harris Cemetery in Goldonna, Louisiana, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Coltyn Babers, Ryland Brister, Logan Brister, Cedar Brister, Zach Zimmerman, Mike Boyett, Duane Carpenter, and Lamar Evans.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Brister and Tristan Fredricks.
