Mrs. Johnnie Lee Rainwater, age 92, was born Sunday, July 7, 1929, in Winnfield, Louisiana to Oscar and Josephine Perry Rainwater. She departed from this life January 31, 2022 at the Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in West Monroe. Mrs. Rainwater is preceded in death by her parents, three sons Charlie Cockerham Jr., Freddie Cockerham, and Danny Cockerham; and all her siblings.

Johnnie became a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership Reverend HY Bell. She served faithful as an usher until she was physically unable to serve.

She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters Cathy Cockerham Winnfield, LA, Sarah Cockerham, Winnfield, LA, Lynda Homes, Winnfield, LA, and Qula Bryant (RED), Winnfield, LA; four sons, Jackie Cockerham, Los Angles, CA, Eddie C o c k e r h a m , Pineville,LA, Donald Cockerham (Gail), Alexandria, LA and Ronald Cockerham, Winnfield, LA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; she also leaves many friends to cherish her memory. The family received friends on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Morning Star Baptist Church, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. James E. Bonner officiating. Interment followed in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers were her Grandsons and Great Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were her sons, Ronald Cockerham, Eddie Cockerham, Jackie Cockerham, and Donald Cockerham.

Mother you have left us here but you are not forgotten. We love you and always will. Your spirit will live on after you are gone. We know you are watching over us, we will never forget you, the love you have given us. Gone, but you will always have a place in our hearts. We love you, and one day we will see you again.
