Marlene Vivian Wilson Ford passed away on February 1, 2022.

She was born on June 25,1934 in Zenoria, LA to Vezie (Red) and Melvina Wilson. She traveled around the world with her husband Jimmy D. Ford for more than 20 years before settling in Winnfield in 1971 after he retired from the Air Force.

She worked at Parkview Care Home for many years as an LPN and was known as a very compassionate and caring nurse who enjoyed taking care of her patients.

Marlene was a loving mother who always had a smile for everyone. A kind and compassionate person, she always did her best to help those in need. Many kids in Winnfield called her ‘mom’ and she was always happy to provide a hot meal and place for them to sleep for the night. Everyone was welcome in her house.

She enjoyed making all kinds of crafts, especially crocheting dolls and throws for family members, making jewelry, and sewing. She loved country music, watching musicals like Dirty Dancing, and romantic comedies like You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. She will be missed forever by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Michael Ford (Donna) and family, Winnfield; daughters, Vivian Skains (Randy) and family, Arcadia; Debra Smith and grandson Landon Bartley, Winnfield; Theresa Mesecher and grandson Cubie, Dallas, TX; granddaughter Alexandra Davis (Charles), Ruston; granddaughter Wendy Thompson, Azle, TX, grandchildren Amanda Franks Ford, Angela Ford, Misty Sanders, Josh and Zack Ford, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. Ford; sons Mitchell and Jimmy Ford; daughters Sheri Rebecca Ford and Imogene Thompson, and grandsons Chad and Sean Thompson.
