She earned this name because she was as sweet as sugar and later it was shortened to “Sug”. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, caring and loving people anyone could know. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with them. Family was her passion and she was very proud of her family. She always gave of herself and made sacrifices to help others in need. She loved the staff and also made special bonds with some family members. She was named the Louisiana Nursing Home Volunteer of the Year in 2012 which she was truly humbled and honored by.

She loved to play cards such as Hands and Foot, Rack-o and the game Sorry with her loved ones. She could be very competitive and showed no mercy when trying to win. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and Super Bowl Parties. She loved to have fun, smile and laugh. She had a great sense of humor and she was selfless. She loved to hug others and she had a zest for life She loved to travel and she loved living at the lake. She was true to herself and her beliefs.
