Florene Jordan Higgs

Mrs. Florene Jordan Higgs, age 90 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Born Thursday, June 25, 1931 in Zenoria, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Letha Haynes Jordan; husband, Wayne Higgs; son, Lonnie Wayne Higgs; grandson, Justin Higgs.

Mrs. Higgs will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Randall Higgs (Shari); grandchildren, Rex Higgs (Jennifer), Kyle Higgs (Ali), Jared Higgs and Colin Higgs; great-grandchildren, Layton Higgs, Haley Higgs, Weston Higgs, Drake Higgs, Kinlee Higgs and Ella Higgs.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Jordan Hill Cemetery with Bro. Rayford Chandler officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Serving the family as pallbearers were Rex Higgs, Kyle Higgs, Jared Higgs, Layton Higgs, Colin Higgs and Haley Higgs. Honorary pallbearers were Drake Higgs and Weston Higgs.
