Darryl was born on January 9, 1961, in Winnfield, Louisiana to Leonard Ray Taylor and Golda Mae Smith Taylor. Darryl was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and friend. He never met a stranger. He loved his family with every breath in him. He lived for his grandchildren. They were his whole world and he made sure everyone knew it. Known to many as Big D, he was a special kind of friend. He loved to help anyone in any way he could. He would give you his last cent and never expect it in return. He loved to hunt and fish. He spent a lot of countless hours in a deer stand or in a boat doing what he loved. To say Daddy will be missed is such an understatement but we all will cherish the sweet memories we had with him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Ray Taylor. Darryl is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy Litton Taylor of Pitkin, LA; mother, Golda Mae Smith Taylor of Winnfield, LA; sons, Michael Shane Williams of Texas and Josh Ray Taylor of Pitkin, LA; daughter, Holly Taylor Fitch and husband Melvin “T-Black” of Pitkin, LA; brother, Mike Taylor of Wisconsin; sisters, Patricia Ferrier and husband Clinton of Montgomery, LA and Melody Bartley and husband Gary of Winnfield, LA; grandchildren, Caiden Fitch, Jacelynn Fitch, Melvin Fitch III, and Domonic Fitch; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
